Parent-Toddler
This program helps the toddlers attending the school for the first time to settle in comfortably in company of the parent. It is an opportunity for the parent to experience the Montessori philosophy first hand. It allows the parent and child to be part of the prepared environment and experience age appropriate activities. The program has no fixed duration. Once the child is comfortable and walks sturdily can be moved to the toddler program.
- 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

02
Toddler
This is a first experience of a child to explore schooling independently. The focus on the Toddler Program is to cultivate their growing need for independence, order, sensory exploration, movement and language. As with any Montessori environment, the children’s activities are set out to entice the child to discover and explore. Toddlers work independently, or in small groups, and are introduced to each material at the appropriate time for their individual development.

Why us
The best early learning experience
At Peace, we believe in helping children become independent learners. Working within mixed-age groups, they learn important social skills and cultivate empathy. They have the freedom to explore their environment, work with and learn from particular materials for as long as they wish. They choose how long to engage with an activity and their process of concentration is never disturbed - the value of which was considered sacred by Dr. Maria Montessori. Activities are introduced in progression and with each child's individual style of learning and pace in mind. They are encouraged to repeat the activity and interpret its outcomes themselves. The adults in their learning environment do not correct any 'mistakes', rather, by repetition, budding problem solving skills and perseverance, the child is able to figure it out on their own, all while developing language and number literacy because of the materials. Instead of being praised simply for a particular outcome, the child's effort is acknowledged by the adult so that they may feel ownership, and so, be mindful of their actions. They are treated with respect as they slowly build the foundations of adults that will shape the future of the world.
An activity is introduced individually to every child catering to his style of learning and then the child is encouraged to repeat the work and deduce his own outcomes. Mistakes are not corrected by the adult , child figures it out himself through repetition thus helping him build his problem solving , analytical skills, and perseverance.
Language and number litracy is a byproduct of all the efforts that the child is making while working with materials.
Children are working on building their character block by block and hence are never disturbed by the adult.
We do not believe in praising the child for work done rather their effort is acknowledged by the adult leading to feeling of ownership of their action. This slowly translates into child being mindful of his actions .
Children are treated with a lot of respect as they are constructing themselves – the adult who will shape the future of the world.

My vision of the future is no longer people taking exams and proceeding then on that certification . . . but of Individuals passing from one stage of independence to a higher [one], by means of their own activity through their own effort of will, which constitutes the inner evolution of the individual.

Our Curriculum
Our classroom (also known as prepared environment) is divided into several areas characterized by low open shelves, one for each area of the curriculum: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language & Culture. |
Practical Life
Practical Life activities are designed to engage children in real life daily routines. This helps children develop a care for themselves, the environment and each other. These activities will strengthen their fine and gross motor skills and lengthen their concentration span through repetition of work. Children learn how to do things from pouring and cooping, using various kitchen utensils, dressing themselves, tying shoe laces etc.
Mathematics
In the Mathematics area children are introduced to materials that encourage their continuous learning in the world of numbers. They are taught quantity, solving problems in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as counting to infinitive numbers. Children go from a very solid understanding of math to a more abstract concept. For example, the children understand the difference between 1, 10, 100 and 1000 because they have felt it countless times through concrete materials
Sensorial
The objective in the Sensorial area is to aide in the development of the child’s 5 senses. Materials are designed to isolate a single character of each sense. The child will experience the discrimination of weight, differences of color and different intonations of sound through proper use of the materials. For example, colors are not taught by having the child think of everything that is blue – blue jeans, the sky, icebergs, a picture of a blue cartoon elephant hanging on a wall. Colors are taught with the color tablets. The color tablets are all exactly the same except for one thing – their color in the middle. This helps take away the confusion for the child and helps them to focus on specifically what blue is.
Culture
Cultural activities expose the child to basics in geography, history, and life sciences. Music, art, and movement education are part of the integrated cultural curriculum. Children at the early childhood age are very detail-oriented & our science materials help them learn the various body parts of a bird or the life cycle of different animals. Children learn about the diversity of the world through an integrated curriculum of history & geography.
Music & Art
Music & art are an integral part of our environment. Singing, dancing & arts and crafts provide opportunities for your child to express his/her own uniqueness. Painting, color mixing, collage and paper folding are just some of the activities provided to encourage creativity and just to have fun!
Spiritual Development
Yoga & meditation routines promote a healthy regimen & allow the child a profound realization of self. To instill the concept of a green & clean environment, we encourage the children to care & nurture for plants in our environment.
